50% of Families Not Eating Together

Only half of all families eat together more than 3-5 times per week and most meals last 20 minutes…or less! Many dinners are eaten on a couch or gobbled down in the car on the way to soccer practice. Yet recent studies from universities such as Columbia and Harvard show that regular family dinners create more healthful eating, reduce drug use, improve performance in school, and raise self esteem.
