Backwards Dinner Night

Whether your kids are back at school or you’re enjoying the last days of summer break, here’s a great way to have some fun and get lots of appreciation at dinner tonight.
Have a backwards dinner night!
Start with dessert. Perhaps a scoop of homemade frozen yogurt with berries (check out our Fruity Frozen Yogurt recipe). Continue with the entree. End with an appetizer, such as hummus with crunchy veggies or pita chips to dip (see our hummus recipes).
Our kids love this! Every Wednesday the local creamery sells ice cream $1 a scoop starting at 5pm, which of course is usually around dinner time. Once a month, we’ll have a backwards dinner. I’ll have a green salad with lots of fresh veggies ready for afterwards or something like an appetizer that’s really simple. It’s a lot of fun!
i would love to do this! unfortunately the dessert is all my daughter would eat.
