Healthy Halloween Tips

Our friend Jennifer Tyler Lee, creator of Crunch a Color, has offered some tips for a healthier Halloween at The Huffington Post.

One of Jennifer’s idea’s to reduce the amount of sugary candy your kids eat is to “trade treats for treasures.” As she puts it: “Five candies buys you a pack of hockey cards or a take-apart eraser. Twenty-five candies gets you a bucket of balls at the driving range. One hundred candies can be redeemed for tickets to the local college basketball game.” Giving your child the option to trade candy for a prize is one way to reduce the amount of candy in the house.

Visit The Huffington Post for more of Jennifer’s ideas, and let us know how you plan to make Halloween a little healthier for your kids.
