Your Favorite Season?

Yesterday was the Vernal Equinox, which, legend has it, is one of the two days out of the year when the length of the day is exactly equal to the length of the night – and when an egg can stand on it’s own! While the science may not support either belief, as this interesting article from National Geographic explains, the Vernal Equinox has been celebrated throughout history by various cultures around the world because it has traditionally symbolized new beginnings, for it is also known as the first day of spring!
To celebrate the Vernal Equinox, we encourage you to ask everyone around the table tonight what is their favorite season and why. Is it spring when the flowers begin sprouting? Summer when you get to spend all day playing outside? Fall when the leaves are turning? Or winter when you get to enjoy a cozy cup of hot chocolate? As a special treat for your kids, ask the adults to share what their favorite season was growing up and why.
Once your delicious meal has been eaten, the laughter has died down and the dishes have been washed, we invite you to share the thoughtful, sweet and surprising answers with us!
