sesameasparagus

Sesame asparagus is a quick and healthy side dish. Try it with your favorite seafood.

YOU NEED:

2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 large cloves garlic, chopped
1 tablespoon chopped fresh ginger
1 1/2 pounds asparagus, ends snapped off
4 teaspoons sesame seeds
Salt and pepper to taste

TO MAKE 4-6 SERVINGS:

Stir together the soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil in a small bowl. Heat the vegetable oil in a large nonstick pan. Add the garlic and ginger and stir until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add the asparagus and stir-fry until crisp-tender, about 4 minutes.

Add the soy mixture and sesame seeds and toss until the asparagus is coated, about 1 minute longer. Season with salt and pepper.
