The Wreath Around the Plate

Birthdays at my house mean flowers! Not in a bouquet, but in a beautiful wreath around the breakfast plate. It’s a great way to make anyone feel special, anytime.
How about a wreath for a grandparent who has traveled from afar, or “Hurray, Pete got an A today,” or “Thanks, Dad, for all you do” night? It does not have to be flowers; it can be leaves, pine cones, a wooden train, alphabet magnets or Scrabble letters spelling out a surprise. Anything that makes the person seated there know, “Today you are very special indeed.”
